Planning Approved
Planning consent has been granted for a Householder Application, as well as Listed Building Consent for one of the barn conversion at the Top Farm complex in Ticknall, South Derbyshire.
The application was for:
- The erection of 2 porches.
- Replacement and upgrading of all doors and windows
- And the Permanent closure of an existing entrance
The property is on the edge of the Ticknall Conservation area, recognised as a building which contributes positively to the special architectural or historic character of the village, and adjoins a Grade II Listed property.
Early engagement and a meeting on site with the council’s Conservation Officer was extremely beneficial in securing a quick approval!
Listed Building applications can be incredibly difficult to navigate and can often leave applicants frustrated throughout the application process if they have not carefully considered how their proposal will effect the building, or area, of historic interest.
